The Thomas E. Reynolds Endowment Scholarship (TER) is made available by the Environmental Education Foundation, Inc. The EEF is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of environmental education and /or the creation of awareness to environmental problems in the Geneva Lakes area. This is done primarily through the awarding of scholarships to local students.
Each year, the Thomas E. Reynolds, Sr. Endowment Fund (TER), founded in 1989, awards one $12,000 scholarship to a senior graduating from Geneva Lake area high schools.
The objective of the Foundation scholarship program is to assist and encourage young people who demonstrate an interest in conservation, ecology, biology or other environmentally-oriented fields of science. Candidates must be well-qualified and registered at an accredited college or university. The students must be recommended by their school and are chosen by the TER Endowment Scholarship Committee. This scholarship awards $3,000 annually, for four years, to students who maintain the required 3.0 grade point average while actively working toward an appropriate degree.
The application requires transcripts, letters of recommendation, and an essay, along with the high school's general scholarship application form. Selected applicants will receive a request for an in-person interview. See the TER application for all requirements.
Students who complete the Thomas E. Reynolds Endowment Scholarship Application are automatically applying for the EEF High School Graduate Scholarship, a one-year, one-time award. Applicants may be awarded one or the other, but not both.
Applications must be postmarked or otherwise received by March 1. Should you have any questions, please contact the EEF at P.O. Box 244, Fontana, WI 53125, (262) 203-7108 or .
